PetFix Spay & Neuter – Big Island, Hawai’i
PETFIX Spay and Neuter works to protect Hawaii’s communities and environment by providing safe and professional spay and neuter services on the Big Island at free clinics.
Reducing pet overpopulation improves the quality of life for Hawaiian communities and decreases the number of animals that will cause harm to the environment.
Our Vision
We envision an island where every animal is wanted and cared for, where no-kill animal sanctuaries offer temporary shelter until animals find forever homes. PETFIX Spay & Neuter allows sanctuaries to sustain no-kill policies by reducing the potential for unwanted animals.
PETFIX is part of the Aloha Project in December!
Eat at one of the wonderful restaurants under the Luana Hospitality Group this month, and $1 from a selected entree, $2 from any menu item with the Aloha Pass It On logo, and $1 from a dedicated on-tap beer (Kai Eats) will be donated to PETFIX!
Ask your server for details! Just say, ” I want to support PETFIX in December, so what are the Aloha Pass It On special items?” and you’re on your way to enjoying a great meal AND supporting our spay/neuter programs on the Big Island.
Head to Kai Eats, Huggos, Huggos on the Rocks or Lava Lava Beach Club! Better yet, try to get to each one in December and know you’re making a difference with your order.

About PETFIX
Beate and Bridget Neher, founding sisters of PETFIX Spay and Neuter, have been involved in animal welfare since growing up in Germany. After volunteering with different rescue organizations on Hawaiʻi Island for years, they decided to start PETFIX at the beginning of 2020. They excel in organizing and facilitating spay/neuter clinics, having developed strong bonds with various veterinarians in Hawaii and the US Mainland.
Their focus is to provide free spay/neuter clinics in lower-income areas of the island, thereby reducing pet overpopulation and thus improving the quality of life for Hawaiian communities.
Basic Requirements for spay/neuter
Cats/Kittens
Dogs/Puppies
Most dogs and cats, even ‘senior’ animals, benefit from spay and neuter services. However, some animals may have pre-existing medical considerations and would be best served having such procedures at a full-service veterinary clinic.
Check with your vet or ask the PETFIX team if you have a senior animal, or one with medical issues.
